Bio

Joe Ledbetter is a San Francisco–based actor, singer, and musician with a rich bass-baritone voice and a knack for characters with an edge. Bay Area audiences most recently saw him as the scheming Jigger Craigin in Carousel at Woodminster Amphitheater.

Joe built his stage chops at the University of San Francisco with the College Players, where he played a wide range of roles: the sly Emcee in Cabaret, hard-boiled detective Stone in City of Angels, Bellamy in The Fantasticks, the hip-swiveling title role in Bye Bye Birdie, and Man 1 in Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. He also played Joseph in The Amorous Ambassador at Contra Costa Civic Theater.

Off the script, Joe is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, banjo, ukulele, drums, and percussion. Whether he’s leading a number or backing the band, he brings energy and commitment to every production.
